Saturday night was our very first experience with Daylight Savings Time with Aiden. I count myself pretty good at math, but sleep deprived and with half the clocks in the house already changed and half waiting to "auto-update" at 2am, it made for a very interesting night for our little one.
I think it might have been one of our longer nights as far as not getting any sleep. Not because Aiden didn't sleep, he did his normal routine of sleeping the first segment of the night then becoming our snooze alarm after 4am. But we essencially had no idea what time it really was or when he was supposed to be due to eat.
Aiden eats about every 4 hours, give or take. If he starts grumping before the 4 hours, we try to hold him off, but when he gets really grumpy we go ahead and feed him. Conversely, if he sleeps through the four hour mark, we don't wake him up to feed him.
Saturday night I think both mommy and I were just confused by the entire ordeal. Here is a night where typically all we do is set our clocks back before bed and enjoy the fact that we can stay in bed an hour longer before getting up for church. All the sudden every time the baby squeeked we were up comparing notes on when exactly the last feeding occurred.
fortunately, we did make it through no worse for wear, although we were awful tired Sunday. Aiden seems to have jhad no ill effects from his parents momentary lapse of reason, and all is well that ends well. Now we get to look to the next scheduled wierdness Springing forward.
